On September 4, Ho Chi Minh City Oncology Hospital received 2 vacuum breast biopsy machines sponsored by HAT-MED Vietnam Medical Equipment and Supplies Company Limited, distributed through the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City - Ho Chi Minh City Relief Mobilization Committee.

Attending the reception ceremony were comrade Nguyen Phuoc Loc, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City; comrade Truong Thi Bich Hanh, member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City; comrade Nguyen Duc Cung, Head of Department of Localities II, Office of the Party Central Committee.

According to Dr. Diep Bao Tuan, Director of Ho Chi Minh City Oncology Hospital, with the two newly added machines, the hospital now has a total of six vacuum breast biopsy machines, contributing to reducing waiting time and improving the efficiency of medical examination and treatment in overloaded conditions.

Speaking at the ceremony, comrade Nguyen Phuoc Loc acknowledged the company's support in taking care of people's health, and hoped that Ho Chi Minh City Oncology Hospital would continue to promote its professional strengths, soon establish a Red Cross Society, implement cancer screening programs in Con Dao, conduct a pilot study on health insurance for cancer screening and transfer technology to hospitals in Binh Duong and Ba Ria - Vung Tau (formerly).

He emphasized the goal that by 2030, Ho Chi Minh City will become a specialized medical destination in Asia, and by 2045, it will be on par with major cities in the world according to Resolution 31-NQ/TW of the Politburo .

Currently, Ho Chi Minh City Oncology Hospital receives about 5,000 medical examinations and treatments every day, of which 84% are patients from other provinces and cities.
