On the afternoon of October 25, at Thanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee, the Standing Committee of Thanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee held a conference to announce the Politburo 's decision on personnel work.

At the conference, Deputy Head of the Central Organizing Committee Do Trong Hung announced the Politburo's decision on Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Doan Anh, member of the Party Central Committee, member of the Central Military Commission, Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army, to cease holding the position of member of the Central Military Commission for the 2020-2025 term; to transfer, assign, and appoint him to participate in the Executive Committee, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, and to hold the position of Secretary of the Thanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term.

The Politburo believes that Comrade Nguyen Doan Anh will quickly grasp the local situation, continue to promote his experience, capacity and courage, and together with the Executive Committee and the Standing Committee of the Thanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee, promote the tradition of solidarity and the results achieved, and successfully complete the goals and tasks set out in the Resolution of the 19th Thanh Hoa Provincial Party Congress.

He respectfully thanked the comrades in the Standing Committee of the Thanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee for unanimously accepting him as a comrade, teammate, brother who was allowed to return to his hometown where he had worked and worked to continue promoting the heroic and glorious tradition of the Party Committee with a long revolutionary tradition, one of the three Party Committees directly under the Central Committee with the largest number of grassroots party organizations and party members in the country.
