Ministry of Agriculture and Environment increases civil servants to support local land work

The Ministry of Agriculture and Environment has just decided to send 34 civil servants from the Department of Land Management to 34 provinces and centrally-run cities to support the implementation of tasks in the land sector when implementing the 2-level local government model.

According to the decision, the working period is 3 months, starting from August 15. The civil servants will directly coordinate, guide and support the local staff in organizing the implementation of professional tasks; promptly advise and propose solutions to remove difficulties and obstacles; at the same time, synthesize the situation of land management and the agricultural and environmental sectors to report to the ministry.

The Department of Land Management is assigned to organize, manage and closely monitor the implementation of tasks; periodically report results to the ministry. This increase in staff is expected to contribute to improving the effectiveness of state management of land at the grassroots level, ensuring the smooth operation of the 2-level local government model.
