Four secondary schools account for 40% of the 10th grade specialized language classes in 2025.

(Dan Tri) - The 10th grade quota for Foreign Language Specialized High School in 2025 is 630, but students from these 3 middle schools have won 251 places.

The list of 4 secondary schools with the most students admitted to specialized language programs in 2025 is Cau Giay Secondary School (74 students), Doan Thi Diem Secondary School (72 students), Archimedes Academy Secondary School (57 students) and Foreign Language Secondary School (48 students).

The total number of students passing the specialized language exam this year of the above 4 schools is 251, approximately 40% of the total enrollment target.

Just counting the English major, Cau Giay school has 49 students admitted, Doan Thi Diem school has 32 students admitted. With the target of 315 students for the English major, students from these two schools have taken up 1/4 of the places.

Last year, the top 3 schools in the 10th grade entrance exam for Foreign Language High School were Foreign Language Secondary School, Doan Thi Diem Secondary School and Cau Giay Secondary School, respectively.

However, this year's ranking has changed, Foreign Language School was pushed down to 4th place after Archimedes School. At the same time, Cau Giay School moved from 3rd place to the leading position.

Notably, class 9C1 Doan Thi Diem once achieved a record of passing the specialized language exam of over 90% in 2023, but this year, less than 20 students passed.

The structure of the entrance exam for specialized subjects this year has completely changed, with candidates having to take 3 independent exams: math, literature, English and 1 specialized subject exam. Therefore, the advantage belongs to candidates who study all 3 subjects equally.

In 2025, the Foreign Language High School will increase its quota by 105 compared to 2024, from 525 to 630. Of which, English has 315 quotas; Russian, French, and Korean each have 35 quotas; Chinese, German, and Japanese each have 70 quotas.

The school does not accept direct admission or give preferential points. The estimated tuition fee for this school year is 3.2 million VND/month.

The phenomenon of a few high schools accounting for the majority of students passing the entrance exam to specialized schools happens almost every year.

Similar to the specialized language school, the Natural Science High School, 104 students from Archimedes School and 96 students from Cau Giay School were admitted to this school, accounting for 38% of the total enrollment target.
