Quang Ninh A dolphin appeared at the entrance to Hang Luon in Ha Long Bay on the morning of March 29, after many years this species of fish was rarely seen in the area.

Bui Trong Anh, an employee of a cruise ship in Ha Long Bay, captured a 1.5 meter long dolphin swimming in the area of Hang Luon Cave on the morning of March 29. He had never seen a dolphin in his 13 years of working at sea, so he was "very excited" about this moment.

"The dolphin was not afraid of people and swam about 5 meters from the boat. It wagged its tail and played in the water for 10 minutes before disappearing," he said.

According to a member of the Ha Long Bay management board, dolphins often appeared in the Quang Ninh - Hai Phong waters before 2005, even "jumping in groups" near Bai Chay bridge. After that, they appeared less often.

However, dolphins have been seen several times in the area since the beginning of the year. On March 27, people filmed two white whales swimming in the waters of Van Don, Quang Ninh. On February 11, a dolphin was also filmed in Ha Long Bay.

Members of the Ha Long Bay management board said that the water quality in the bay has recently improved thanks to the ban on fishing in the core zone, so dolphins appear more often to hunt.
