Since July 2025, the “Books for Children” program of the Bookas e-book platform has received widespread support from the community, with thousands of old books donated and distributed across the country. From this success, Bookas officially announced the “Books for Children” charity program as a regular, indefinite activity - as a long-term commitment on the journey of spreading knowledge to Vietnamese children.

Not simply a short-term donation campaign for the back-to-school season, “Books for Children” is organized as a continuous journey: receiving old books that are still valuable, classifying them and handing them to children in remote areas, especially difficult areas, or areas heavily affected by natural disasters and floods. With the philosophy “Books may be old but knowledge is never old”, the program aims to turn old books into a new door, opening the world for children in remote areas.

Bookas aims to equip 1,000 bookcases for community libraries in remote areas - where children still have little access to knowledge. Through book donations, selection and distribution according to needs, Bookas hopes to contribute to narrowing the knowledge gap between regions. The program is also a call for the community and businesses to join hands in creating a sustainable future through reading culture.

In his role as the program’s media ambassador, journalist Trung Nghia believes that children need us to share our love of books and reading habits. For children in remote areas, books are even more necessary.

Growing up in the poor countryside of Dak Lak province, according to singer Duyen Quynh, to have books to read, she and her friends had to borrow them from the library and read them in rotation.

That is one of the reasons why she accepted to be the media ambassador of the charity program "Books for Children", with the hope of joining hands to help children, especially those in places lacking books and learning conditions, to have earlier and more access to books.
