On the afternoon of July 4, the Office of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee held a conference to announce decisions on organizing the agency's apparatus and appointing officials.

Attending the conference were comrades: Nguyen Thanh Nghi, member of the Party Central Committee, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee; Dang Minh Thong, Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee.

The conference announced the decisions to establish departments under the Office of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee and appoint department heads and deputy heads.

Accordingly, the decision was made to establish the Administration Department under the Office of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee; appoint comrade Pham Hoang Lam to hold the position of Head of the Department and Deputy Heads of the Department including comrades: Trinh Thi Hong Lien, Nguyen Huynh Phong, Pham Minh Hai, Nguyen Thi Xuan Huong, Le An, Nguyen Thi Phuong Khanh, Nguyen Thi Tam.

Decision to establish the Party Economic Department under the Office of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee; appoint comrade Pham Nho Hong Thuong to hold the position of Head of the Department and Deputy Heads of the Department including comrades: Tran Van Hoa and Truong Nhut Cam Ngoc.

In his speech assigning tasks, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee Nguyen Thanh Nghi emphasized that the Central Government has high expectations for Ho Chi Minh City with its great potential and advantages to become a super city.

"With the great requirements and expectations of the Central Government, Ho Chi Minh City and each team of city officials must make more efforts, including the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee Office," Comrade Nguyen Thanh Nghi noted.

Therefore, the Office of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee continues to promote the tradition of the Party Committee Office, the spirit of solidarity, promote the achieved results, perform well the functions and tasks of the Party Committee Office, and meet new and higher requirements in the new context of Ho Chi Minh City.

Comrade Nguyen Thanh Nghi requested that each cadre and civil servant must strive to work to the best of their ability, be more responsible, and be more innovative and creative in thinking and action. In addition, the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee Office also needs to promote solidarity, unity of will and action, for the common benefit of Ho Chi Minh City.

The Standing Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee also requested the City Party Committee Office to quickly stabilize the organizational structure, immediately get to work, and promote digital transformation. At the same time, review working conditions, travel, and accommodation so that the staff can stabilize their lives and quickly get to work, especially focusing on doing a better job of synthesizing, forecasting, and evaluating the situation to do a better job of advising superiors.
