TPO - The project to renovate technical infrastructure and urban embellishment of Ngoc Khanh Lake (Ba Dinh District) is being completed, ready to implement the project to organize a business and service area - walking street in the area of Ngoc Khanh Lake and surrounding areas on Pham Huy Thong Street.

The project to renovate technical infrastructure, beautify the urban area, and organize a walking street around Ngoc Khanh Lake is being urgently implemented, expected to open on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the Capital Liberation Day (October 10, 1954 - October 10, 2024).

The total investment value of the project is nearly 30 billion VND. The project belongs to group C of technical infrastructure works, the investor is the Ba Dinh District Construction Investment Project Management Board.

Ngoc Khanh Lake is located in a densely populated area. When it comes into operation, it is expected to attract a large number of people in Ba Dinh district as well as tourists to come and relax.

To complete the technical renovation, the district will pave the roadway with natural stone pavements and sidewalks to facilitate business services, walking, and entertainment. Plant additional trees to ensure a density of 5m/tree, tie tree pots with natural stone, build outdoor plastic or natural stone seats, decorative architectural objects; install urban equipment such as seats, trash cans, public toilets; install street lighting; and pedestrian street welcome gates.

Ngoc Khanh Lake walking street, when put into operation, will be the second walking street in Ba Dinh district and the 7th walking street in Hanoi city.

According to the People's Committee of Ba Dinh district, with the desire to preserve the historical value of the old land, the district pays attention to details reminiscent of Giang Vo school in the renovation and beautification of infrastructure and urban architecture.

Giang Vo School (Giang Vo Truong) is an important place in ancient Thang Long. This is the area for practicing martial arts, teaching military tactics, and conducting high-level military exercises of feudal dynasties. Dai Viet Su Ky Toan Thu also recorded the events of 1010, when the Ly Dynasty built Giang Vo Palace; 1070, Xa Dinh was established. In August 1253, King Tran Thai Tong established Giang Vo School as a place for generals to study.

Since the beginning of the Le Dynasty, the area west of Thang Long (including the Giang Vo, Kim Ma, Ngoc Khanh areas today) has become a large center for military training, examination and exercise.
