We need awareness to preserve historical relics.

Dak Tuor Waterfall, part of the Dak Tuor Cave Historical Relic Complex (Cu Pui Commune), was recognized as a National Historical Relic in 1991. In recent years, this relic site has become an attractive destination for tourists thanks to its wild and pristine beauty.

However, along with tourism development, the problem of environmental protection, especially at prominent tourist attractions such as Dak Tuor waterfall, is posing many challenges.

Every year, Dak Tuor waterfall welcomes about 10,000 visitors. However, the development of tourism has brought about alarming consequences. Because there is no direct management unit at the relic site, tourists cook and use food and drink on the spot, which has significantly affected the surrounding environment, posing a high risk of forest fires. What is more noteworthy is the situation of littering and not collecting trash after eating and playing, making the landscape messy.

Ms. HT (from Ho Chi Minh City) shared: "Coming to Dak Tuor cave relic, I was very impressed with the clear, cool waterfall. However, the lack of trash cans in the waterfall area has seriously affected the surrounding environment. Visitors who want to collect trash do not know where to throw it."

The above tourist feedback shows that the management and arrangement of facilities to serve tourists here are still limited.

Dak Tuor Waterfall belongs to the Dak Tuor Cave Historical Site Complex (Cu Pui Commune) and attracts many tourists to visit and have fun.

Faced with this situation, authorities at all levels need to strengthen propaganda work, raise awareness among people and tourists about the importance of environmental protection and maintaining hygiene at the relic site. It is extremely necessary to arrange enough trash bins in easily accessible locations, install signs and specific instructions. In addition, authorities need to coordinate more closely to take measures to strictly handle littering.

The historical relic site of the Dak Lak Resistance Base is not only a tourist destination but also a place to educate the revolutionary tradition for the younger generation. However, to preserve and promote its full value, it requires the cooperation of the whole community, from the government, businesses to each individual tourist. Only when each person has the awareness to protect, the historical relic will truly last forever, and the Dak Tuor waterfall will forever be clear and gentle, forever telling the story of a heroic "steel land".
