Can Tho launches electronic information page 'Elected representatives with voters and people'

(Chinhphu.vn) - On September 19, Can Tho City People's Council launched the electronic information page "Elected representatives with voters and people".

The website is of great significance in concretizing Can Tho's programs and plans on implementing Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW, dated December 22, 2024 of the Politburo on breakthroughs in science and technology development, innovation and national digital transformation.

The basic functions of the information page are to synthesize and process information; organize communication, report news, ensure unified, smooth and continuous information about the activities of the National Assembly Delegation and the City People's Council; be the focal point for connecting and integrating information with the electronic information portals of agencies, departments and branches inside and outside the City. The contents are consistent with the functions, tasks and powers of the agency; comply with the provisions of law on press, intellectual property and protection of state secrets directly managed and operated by the Office of the National Assembly Delegation and the City People's Council.

Mr. Dong Van Thanh, Standing Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Council of Can Tho City, said that the website "Elected representatives with voters and people" of the National Assembly Delegation and the People's Council of Can Tho City is an important milestone, affirming the determination to innovate and modernize the activities of elected bodies, towards building a government that serves the people, is closer to the people, and is closer to the people.

The website was launched to celebrate the 1st Congress of Can Tho City Party Committee, term 2025-2030, towards the 14th National Congress of the Party in the context of the whole country promoting digital transformation, building digital government, digital society, putting into operation the website is a practical step to create an online, fast, and reliable bridge between elected representatives and voters and people.

At the same time, it helps people conveniently access information about the activities of the National Assembly Delegation and the People's Council of Can Tho City, as well as monitor and supervise the implementation of the promises and responsibilities of the delegates to the people. It is a forum to listen to the thoughts, aspirations, opinions and legitimate recommendations of the people, contributing to improving the quality of supervision and decision-making activities, accompanying the development of the City.

On this occasion, the People's Council of Can Tho City and VNPT Can Tho signed a cooperation agreement on the application of information technology and digital transformation. This activity aims to serve the management and operation of the City People's Council, aiming to contribute to the construction of digital government, smart cities, and better serve voters and people.
