Extinguish a large fire at a food processing material storage facility in Can Tho

Phu Loi Ward Police, Can Tho City informed that as of the morning of September 28, the authorities were still inspecting, calculating the damage and investigating the cause of the fire at a facility storing food processing materials in the ward on the evening of September 27.

Accordingly, at 8:30 p.m. on September 27, a fire broke out at house number 24, Cach Mang Thang Tam Street, Phu Loi Ward, Can Tho City. This is a bakery supermarket, specializing in ingredients, machinery, equipment, and baking tools.

Some residents said the fire quickly broke out from the house above and threatened to spread to the surrounding area, black smoke filled the area, causing many nearby people to panic and run away.

Upon receiving the news, the Fire Prevention, Fire Fighting and Rescue Police force coordinated with Phu Loi Ward Police and local people to put out the fire.

Due to containing many flammable food ingredients and packaging, the fire continued to flare up, smoke engulfing the entire house.

After nearly 3 hours of efforts by the authorities, the fire was brought under control. Fortunately, people in the house discovered the fire in time and left the scene before the fire spread, so there were no human casualties.
