Implementing the peak period of ensuring traffic order and safety for school-age children of the Traffic Police Department nationwide, on October 1, the Traffic Police - Order Team of Long Bien District Police ( Hanoi ) was present on the roads near schools and areas where many young people gather.

In addition to making a record of violators, traffic police also temporarily detain vehicles of those who are not old enough to drive according to regulations.
At the same time, authorities continue to verify the fault of parents, guardians, and those who gave vehicles to students when they were not qualified to drive.
It was dark, and there were still many cases pending. Many parents were called in to sign the minutes or bring papers for their children.
Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Duc Van - captain of the Traffic Police and Order Team of Long Bien District Police - said that before the Traffic Police Department launched the peak period, the unit had strictly implemented the control and ensured traffic order and safety for school-age children.
During the period from September 20 to October 1, 470 violations among students were detected and handled by the unit with a fine of nearly VND500 million, and 70 vehicles were temporarily detained.
In the first 9 months of this year, Long Bien District Police also organized propaganda sessions and signed commitments to comply with road traffic regulations with 18,690 students, 1,098 teachers and 162 parents of students from schools in the area.
