The exhibition "Bach Wave 2" brings together nearly 100 works by six artists: Ha Dung, Quang Tham, Thi Ca, Hieu Nghia, Le Anh Thanh and Han Vinh, on display until October 6 at the Ho Chi Minh City Museum of Fine Arts.

Each artist brings a unique voice, no two are alike, but when placed side by side they create a creative space that is both colorful and harmonious.

Each person a small wave

Not limited to a common theme, Wave 2 opens up to the viewer an interesting and new visual experience. From village memories, natural beauty to children's smiles, lotus flowers blooming in the mind... each favorite theme of each author finds its own place.

As painter Ha Dung said: “Once again the waves hit the shore, the sunlight spreads on the riverbank. Somewhere a few brush strokes follow the melody, I blend in with the most natural things.

Six brothers, six personalities create a common game. If in the first exhibition there were some clashes, then in Wave 2, I clearly felt the harmony. Each artist is like a small wave creating a big and impressive game.

For artist Le Anh Thanh, that wave is memory. When talking about creativity, people think of something new, but he chooses to go back to the past through nostalgia.

"I recreate the memories of a peaceful homeland, where there is a sky of childhood. Perhaps you will see a part of your childhood in mine. Although everyone has a different childhood, it is still a peaceful and unforgettable time." - Artist Le Anh Thanh confided.

Artist Thi Ca chose daily life by the sea, especially children's smiles, as inspiration. He brought to the exhibition the realistic beauty of waves as they are.

“I live on a coastal island in Quang Ngai , I am used to the sun and wind so I really like to paint about the sea. I also have small children, I love children so I like to capture the smiles of children when they play. I want to convey the beauty of everyday life into paintings in a simple, rustic way" - artist Thi Ca shared.

An exhibition of many layers of emotions

For artist Han Vinh, the inspiration for this series of paintings began from his travels. He expressed: “This big wave is the crystallization of the true feelings and emotions that I experienced after my actual trips.

My ink paintings are the movement of the brush and ink following the artist's mind, where emotions are subtly intertwined, making it easy for viewers to empathize. I want to open up the creative spirit, connecting traditional art with modern breath."

Meanwhile, artist Hieu Nghia chose to include the lotus in his paintings as a spiritual symbol. He shared: “The lotus is not only present as a flower, but also as a consciousness filled with heavy feelings.

Painting is my way of finding balance between movement and stillness, between tradition and modernity. I hope that when the audience stands in front of the lotus paintings, they will find a moment of silence for themselves, like a lotus blooming gently in their mind.”

As for painter Quang Tham, he confided: “I am just a person who copies the nuances and aspects of life through the style of allegorical paintings. In it there are sadness and joy, gains and losses, sacred and beautiful things.

Like my brothers in the group, I am a small wave blending in the love of art, to create a Wave of desire to rise up and contribute to the ocean of painting."

Not only is it a continuation of the first exhibition, Wave 2 shows the authors' spirit of companionship in the contemporary art stream.

There, the individual is not lost but is exalted in the common, resonating with a fresh and rich source of energy for the city's artistic life.
