At 3:50 p.m. on December 9, the Command Information Center (114) of Hanoi City Police received a fire report at a chicken restaurant located at 42 Vo Thi Sau Street, Thanh Nhan Ward, Hai Ba Trung District, Hanoi.

The Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Center of Hai Ba Trung District Police and the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Team of Hoan Kiem District Police were dispatched to the scene to organize fire fighting and prevent the fire from spreading.

The fire area is near Youth Park, surrounded by many kiosks. Inside the restaurant there are many flammable materials so the fire spread quickly, black smoke billowed up, causing many people to panic.

When the fire was discovered, the staff in the restaurant quickly moved the furniture out.

By 4:15 p.m., the fire was completely extinguished by authorities.

The fire did not cause any human casualties. Authorities are investigating the cause of the fire and assessing property damage.
