Spending 5 billion VND to promote the artistic value of Bai Choi in Quang Nam

(QNO) - The Provincial People's Committee has just issued a plan to support the preservation and promotion of the artistic value of Bai Choi in Quang Nam province.

The plan aims to concretize Resolution No. 08, dated January 23, 2024 of the Provincial People's Council on regulations on the content and level of support for preserving and promoting the value of the intangible cultural heritage of the art of Bai Choi in Quang Nam province in 2025.

According to this plan, the provincial and local budgets will spend about 5 billion VND in 2025 to implement the following contents: Supporting research and inventory of the intangible heritage of the art of Bài Chòi in the province; supporting the digitization and documentation of the heritage; supporting the transmission, training and practice of the heritage.

In addition, support the purchase of equipment and maintenance of the activities of Bai Choi clubs/teams/groups in the community; support the propaganda, promotion, and introduction of the intangible cultural heritage of Bai Choi art; support the organization of composition sessions on Bai Choi folk songs...

The plan is implemented in 13 districts, towns and cities in the province. The subjects of support are clubs/teams/groups of Bai Choi that have been established by competent authorities, have regulations and charters, organize activities and maintain regular activities. At the same time, support is provided to agencies, units and individuals involved in supporting the preservation and promotion of the value of the intangible cultural heritage of Bai Choi art in Quang Nam province.
