Paying more than 81 billion VND to people affected by Vung Ang water supply project

On the morning of November 18, the Compensation, Resettlement and Site Clearance Council of Ky Anh district organized compensation payments to 561 households in Ky Thuong commune (Ky Anh district) related to the project to build a water supply system for the Vung Ang Economic Zone.

The project to build a water supply system for Vung Ang Economic Zone was implemented since 2011, including: Rao Tro reservoir, Lac Tien dam and canal... with a total area of ​​2,975.92 hectares.

The project has affected 1,835 households in the communes of Ky Thuong, Ky Tay, Lam Hop, Ky Son, Ky Lac, Ky Tan (Ky Anh district). The project has carried out compensation, support and resettlement work since 2011 with allocated and disbursed funds of 534,242 billion VND.

According to the report of the People's Committee of Ky Anh district, there are currently 1,256 affected households that have not received compensation or support with a total estimated cost of 268.2 billion VND.

Payments are made in an orderly, public and transparent manner.

Starting this morning (November 18), the Compensation, Resettlement and Site Clearance Council of Ky Anh district paid 81.3 billion VND to 561 households in Ky Thuong commune. It is expected that next week, it will continue to pay to households in the communes of Ky Lac, Ky Tan, Ky Son and Lam Hop, with a total cost of 104.94 billion VND for 868 households.

The payment is made publicly, transparently and in accordance with the law by the Compensation, Resettlement and Site Clearance Council of Ky Anh district.
