Green Summer 2025 Volunteer "White Blouse" Campaign

Ham Thanh mountain area became vibrant and bustling with the laughter of volunteers and ethnic children in the Green Summer 2025 volunteer white blouse campaign, organized by Ho Chi Minh City University of Medicine and Pharmacy in coordination with the local government of Ham Thanh commune (Lam Dong) with many meaningful projects for children and local Raglay people.

First day of competition

40 volunteers from the Faculty of Pharmacy - University of Medicine and Pharmacy came to My Thanh village, ate, lived and worked with children and ethnic minorities. Here, the volunteers organized a disease screening program: Diabetes, blood pressure, diet, health care consultation, treatment, medication when blood pressure suddenly increased/decreased... for people in My Thanh, Ham Can and Lo To villages and presented 10 charity medicine cabinets to poor families in the commune.

The White Blouse Campaign also organizes activities to care for children "Children's Day", awarding 20 scholarships to students who overcome difficulties in studying; organizes a pebble painting workshop "Dream Painting" for children to express their talents and creativity through paintings and give gifts to children in the commune; classes to improve skills "Preventing fraud, protecting yourself" for children; free cartoon screenings for children in the commune.

In this green summer volunteer campaign, volunteers also carried out meaningful youth projects such as: Painting the walls in response to the "50th anniversary of national reunification", disseminating traffic safety laws and environmental protection at My Thanh Primary School; Building and upgrading the recycling playground for children at My Thanh Kindergarten; participating in harvesting corn and rice with the locals; equipping study corners for children in especially difficult circumstances; cleaning, clearing, planting trees to renovate the campus, donating solar lights to the communal living area; visiting, encouraging and giving gifts to families of veterans, families of war invalids and martyrs.

The 2025 Green Summer White Blouse Volunteer Campaign of students of Ho Chi Minh City University of Medicine and Pharmacy aims to promote the spirit of vanguard, volunteerism, and creativity to contribute to the implementation of political tasks, socio-economic development, digital transformation, new rural construction, civilized urban areas, and ensuring social security. The campaign also creates a practical and lively environment for students to practice, contribute, and mature, connect with youth and people at the fronts and the spirit of solidarity between facilities and disadvantaged areas.
