QNgTV- Businesses predict that domestic gasoline prices this afternoon (October 2) may increase by 120-220 VND/liter, and oil prices may increase by 320-470 VND/liter.
Meanwhile, the gasoline price forecasting model of the Vietnam Petroleum Institute (VPI) shows that in the management period this afternoon, October 2, retail gasoline prices may increase by 0.7 - 2.8% compared to the previous management period, if the Ministry of Finance - Industry and Trade does not set aside or use the price stabilization fund.
Specifically, VPI forecasts that the retail price of E5 RON92 gasoline may increase by VND157 (0.8%) to VND19,767/liter, RON95 gasoline may increase by VND133 (0.7%) to VND20,293/liter. Kerosene prices may increase by 2.8% to VND19,141/liter, diesel oil may increase by 2.6% to VND19,135/liter, and mazut oil may increase by 2.5% to VND15,580/kg.
If forecasts are correct, domestic gasoline prices will increase after just one decrease. Since the beginning of the year, RON 95 gasoline has increased 22 times, decreased 18 times; diesel has increased 20 times, decreased 18 times and remained unchanged once.
In the operating session on September 25, the Ministry of Industry and Trade - Ministry of Finance reduced the price of RON 95 gasoline by 443 VND/liter, to 20,165 VND/liter; the price of E5 RON 92 gasoline decreased by 368 VND/liter, to 19,618 VND/liter.
Diesel price decreased by 47 VND/liter, down to 18,658 VND/liter. Kerosene price increased by 84 VND/liter, up to 18,628 VND/liter. Fuel oil price increased by 79 VND/kg, down to 15,209 VND/kg.
