Previously, she played for Denso Airybees in the 2019-2020 period and PFU Blue Cats from 2021 to 2024. In addition, this 1m93 tall hitter also played for Kuzeyboru (Türkiye) and Gresik Petrokimia (Indonesia).

Thanh Thuy is the Vietnamese female player with the most times playing abroad so far.

Representatives of VTV Binh Dien Long An Club affirmed that they will create the best conditions for her to develop her abilities in Japan. Thanh Thuy's contract with Gunma Green Wings lasts for one season, and the two sides will continue to negotiate the possibility of extending it after the season ends.

The new season of the Japanese National Championship starts on October 10 and lasts until April 2026. One issue that worries fans is the possibility that Thanh Thuy will have difficulty returning to join the Vietnamese women's team to participate in the 33rd SEA Games in December. Because the SEA Games is not part of the official competition system of the International Volleyball Federation (FIVB), international clubs are not required to release players to the teams.

However, the Vietnam Volleyball Federation said it will try to negotiate with Gunma Green Wings to have Thanh Thuy's service at the SEA Games. Head coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet shared that Thanh Thuy will most likely return to the team about a week before the team leaves for Thailand.
