The above content was presented by the leader of Tan Phu District People's Committee (HCMC) during a working session with the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee's Interdisciplinary Inspection Team on November 24.
There are currently many residents living in Dai Thanh apartment building, Tan Phu district, Ho Chi Minh City. Photo taken on the afternoon of November 24.
Specifically, 3 apartment buildings that have not yet been inspected for fire safety have been put into operation, namely Ruby Land (Tan Thoi Hoa Ward), Dai Thanh (Phu Trung Ward), and Khang Gia - Tan Huong (Tan Quy Ward). These apartment buildings are currently home to a large number of people, and if a fire or explosion occurs, there will be a high risk.
Meanwhile, the investor of Ruby Land apartment building is serving a life sentence. This apartment building has many floors that have had their functions changed and fire safety has not been inspected. Similarly, the investors of Dai Thanh apartment building and Khang Gia - Tan Huong apartment building have also been arrested for violating the law, one of whom has died due to illness.
Previously, the leaders of Tan Phu District People's Committee had also reported the situation and issues related to the above 3 apartment buildings many times to the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee and the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Construction to find appropriate solutions.
While waiting for a solution, relevant units of Tan Phu District are currently mobilizing people to repair fire prevention and fighting equipment themselves, propagating fire fighting knowledge, practicing fire fighting plans, and complying with rules in using heat sources.
