At the meeting, Vietnamese Ambassador to China Pham Thanh Binh reported to the President on some aspects of Vietnam-China relations in recent times; the results achieved in various aspects of work - political diplomacy, economic diplomacy, cultural diplomacy... and the situation of the Vietnamese community in China.
Regarding the Vietnamese community in China, Ambassador Pham Thanh Binh said that there are currently more than 100,000 people, including about 23,000 international students living and studying in many provinces and cities of the neighboring country. The Vietnamese community in China lives in solidarity, obeys local laws, always looks towards the homeland and country, and supports the policies of the Party and State. The Vietnamese Embassy always strives to fulfill the tasks assigned by the Party, State and people.

Representatives of the Vietnamese community in China spoke, expressing their joy at welcoming President Luong Cuong to attend the activities commemorating the 80th anniversary of the world people's victory over fascism and activities in China. They also shared about their lives, work and integration with the local society; at the same time, they emphasized their trust in the leadership and development orientations of the country in the new era issued by the Party and State; and pledged to continue to unite, support each other, preserve Vietnamese traditions and culture and always look towards the Fatherland.
On behalf of the Party and State leaders, President Luong Cuong sent his sincere feelings and best wishes to the entire Vietnamese community living, studying and working in China, and the staff of the Vietnamese Embassy.
The President announced a number of results in his working sessions with Chinese leaders, especially the talks with General Secretary and President Xi Jinping of China, aiming to consolidate and enhance political trust between the two sides; measures to expand and improve the effectiveness of cooperation in various fields, promote the removal of obstacles in cooperation; maximize similarities, seek ways to control disagreements, for peace, cooperation and development.

Informing the Embassy staff and community representatives about the domestic situation, the President said that recently the Party has issued particularly important resolutions, creating a premise for the country to truly take off and enter a new era of development. Vietnam's socio-economy has developed positively in recent times; national defense and security have been strengthened, national independence and sovereignty have been maintained; political security and social order and safety have been ensured. Foreign affairs and international integration have been proactively, positively, effectively and comprehensively implemented, contributing to enhancing the country's position and image. The whole country is in an atmosphere of trust, excitement and determination to bring the country into a new era, an era of national development.
The President highly appreciated the collective of officials and staff of the Embassy, representative agencies and permanent offices of Vietnam in China for their great efforts, overcoming difficulties, and successfully completing the tasks assigned by the Party and State, especially effectively implementing foreign political tasks, economic and cultural diplomacy, work with overseas Vietnamese, and work to protect sovereignty over seas and islands.

The President also praised the spirit of solidarity and efforts of the Vietnamese community in China, actively contributing to consolidating and promoting the "both comrade and brother" relationship between Vietnam and China, spreading the friendly and close image of the Vietnamese people to local and international friends.
Regarding relations with China, the President affirmed that Vietnam has always consistently considered developing relations with China an objective requirement, a strategic choice and a top priority, in line with the fundamental and long-term interests of the nation and people, and an important factor contributing to building a favorable environment for the country to move towards fulfilling its aspirations and development goals by 2030 and 2045.

In the context of the world and regional situation continuing to evolve rapidly and complicatedly, with multi-dimensional impacts on the security environment, development and foreign relations of Vietnam, the President said that key leaders of the two Parties and two countries of Vietnam and China have reached common perceptions on the need to continue solidarity, cooperation, strengthening and deepening the comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership, the Vietnam-China Community of Shared Future has strategic significance.
To further promote the traditional friendship between the two countries, the President asked the Embassy to well implement its foreign political tasks; prioritize promoting and consolidating political trust, bringing the Vietnam-China relationship to develop stably, sustainably, in depth and substantially; focus on research work, closely follow the local situation to promptly advise the Party and State.

Along with that, according to the President, it is necessary to carry out economic diplomacy well, taking people and businesses as the center of service; continue to do well cultural diplomacy, people-to-people exchange, consular work, and take care of the rights and legitimate interests of overseas Vietnamese and Vietnamese students in China.
