Alley 170 Hoang Quoc Viet Street has been upgraded and modernized.

Mr. Nguyen Van Te, Party Cell Secretary, Head of Area 4, An Binh Ward, said: Alley 170 Hoang Quoc Viet Street is a large alley with many small branches. The alley was started in early 2025 and was just completed in June, with a total road surface area of 2,733 square meters. The people's contribution is 638 million VND, the State invested 3.8 billion VND.

Walking along the 4.5-6m wide asphalt alley, everyone in the alley was happy. Mr. Nguyen Thanh Phong shared: “Before, every time it rained, the alley was flooded, some sections had many potholes, making it very inconvenient to travel. Therefore, when the area held a meeting to discuss upgrading the alley, everyone supported and contributed funds according to regulations. After the alley was completed, the area also mobilized more donors to fund the installation of security cameras. Everyone felt more secure!”

Alley 170 not only has many security cameras installed, but is also in the process of installing lighting and public trash cans, replacing new alley signs... The total cost is 117 million VND, supported by Ms. Ho Thi Thanh Bach and some households in the alley, mobilizing support from benefactors.

There are also 3 other alleys on Hoang Quoc Viet Street, alley 36, alley 112 and alley 234, which have been upgraded to asphalt or concrete in 2025. The total cost of upgrading the 4 alleys is about 12.7 billion VND, implemented in the form of the State and the people working together. In order for the project to be completed successfully, in addition to the unanimous support of the local people, there are also active contributions from fundraising and construction supervision teams. Each alley established a team of 4-6 people, including local officials and representatives of households. Each person actively mobilized and supervised the project until completion. If any problems or difficulties arose, they would meet and inform the households to resolve them. Thanks to that, all 4 projects were completed as planned.

According to Mr. Nguyen Van Te, the alleys are being upgraded simultaneously to synchronize with Hoang Quoc Viet Street, because after this road is upgraded and expanded, many alleys will be affected because they are lower than the road surface. Currently, the area is collecting opinions from people about alley 146 to upgrade in the near future, also in the form of the State and the people working together.

Area 4, An Binh Ward also carried out many clever civil mobilization projects in 2024. Typical examples include the national flag street on Hoang Quoc Viet Street (in coordination with the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee at all levels), installing security cameras in alley 36 Hoang Quoc Viet, launching a model residential area on security and order on the Cai Son canal embankment... All were implemented from social mobilization sources.
