This is a special art program, organized to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the death of Professor - Doctor Tran Van Khe (June 24, 2015 - June 24, 2025).
During his lifetime, Professor Tran Van Khe was a leading Vietnamese scholar and music researcher, who devoted his life to preserving, propagating and bringing traditional national music to the world.
His research and training topics on amateur music and Vietnamese reformed opera in comparison with other music and drama forms of Asian countries (Korean pansori, Chinese opera, Japanese noh and kabuki) have been highly appreciated by the international music community. Since then, many national cultural and artistic subjects have been recognized by UNESCO as World Intangible Cultural Heritage such as: Hue Royal Court Music, Cultural Space of Central Highlands Gongs, Ca Tru, Bac Ninh Quan Ho, Southern amateur music and so on.

During his musical career of more than 60 years, Professor Tran Van Khe has received many noble honors: UNESCO Music Award (1981), Medal of Arts and Literature of the French Ministry of Culture (1991), Corresponding Member of the European Academy of Sciences , Culture and Arts (1993), First Class Labor Medal (1999), Dao Tan Award (2005), Phan Chau Trinh Award for Research (2011)...
On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day, Professor Dr. Tran Van Khe was one of 60 outstanding individuals honored by Ho Chi Minh City for their contributions to the cause of building, protecting and developing the City in the period 1975 - 2025.
With his dedication and special talent in inspiring traditional music, Professor Tran Van Khe is not only a great researcher but also a bridge between tradition and modernity, between Vietnam and the world. His career and personality will always be an example for future generations in preserving and promoting national cultural values.

To show respect for Professor Tran Van Khe and his legacy, over the past 10 years, his group of friends have made efforts to carry out his last wishes, with support from his family, to launch the book Tran Van Khe - Mind and Karma ; Tran Van Khe Scholarship Fund in 2021...
