Nam Dinh Club has recruited a series of famous players in the transfer window, in preparation for the 2023-2024 V-League season.
Among the 8 players who have just arrived at Thien Truong Stadium, the most prominent are Nguyen Van Toan, Rafaelson, Tran Van Kien, Ly Cong Hoang Anh and Nguyen Van Vi.
Nam Dinh FC's most notable signing is striker Van Toan. Returning to the V-League after a season at Seoul E-land (K-League 2), Van Toan is still a domestic striker worth watching. According to statistics, Van Toan has scored 28 goals in the last 82 matches in the V-League.
Nam Dinh Club adds 8 new players
Van Toan's strengths are speed, dribbling, penetration and finishing ability which have improved in his final years at HAGL. The striker born in 1996 has also made his mark in the Vietnamese national team when he accelerated and assisted Tuan Hai to score against Palestine.
Van Toan ended his journey at Seoul E-land Club without scoring any goals. However, the 27-year-old striker still had 9 appearances and 1 assist. Admitting the pressure after being injured as well as not adapting to life in Korea, returning to V-League could be a turning point for Van Toan to regain his form. It is known that his salary is about 100 million VND/month and the signing bonus is about 5 billion VND/season.
Van Toan returns to Vietnam
At Nam Dinh FC, Van Toan will play alongside Rafaelson. The Brazilian striker was the top scorer of the V-League last season with 16 goals for Binh Dinh FC.
"I feel like I'm back home. I played for Nam Dinh in V-League 2020 and received a lot of love here. Even though I left the team due to financial problems, I still have special feelings for this place. Now the team has been invested in and is much stronger than before, I hope I can do something great with the team. I will give my all," Rafaelson shared.

In addition to adding to the attack, Nam Dinh Club also added two quality wingers, including Van Kien and Van Vi from Hanoi Club. Nam Dinh Club's midfield was also reinforced with midfielder Hoang Anh - a player who was called up to the national team and U.23 Vietnam.
Nam Dinh FC ranked fifth in V-League 2023 with 29 points after 20 rounds. With quality additions, coach Vu Hong Viet's team aims to compete for the championship this season.
