Tien Linh's last chance

Nguyen Tien Linh is the only domestic player in the top 8 scorers of V-League this season.

In the first leg, the player born in 1997 scored 9 goals, achieving an efficiency of 0.7 goals/match. At the peak of his form, the player of Binh Duong Club always led the "Top scorer" list and was voted for the 2024 Vietnam Golden Ball award.

In the final round of V-League this season, Binh Duong Club will host Thanh Hoa Club at Go Dau Stadium at 5:00 p.m. on June 22 (FPT Play). The last time a domestic striker won the V-League "Top Scorer" award was 8 years ago, it belonged to former national team player Nguyen Anh Duc - current head coach of Binh Duong Club, with 17 goals after 26 matches of the 2017 season.

Binh Duong Club is focusing on competing for the National Cup title this season. Coach Nguyen Anh Duc's team has reached the semi-finals of the tournament and will compete with Song Lam Nghe An Club at Vinh Stadium on June 26.

The championship and runner-up titles of this season’s V-League have belonged to Nam Dinh FC and Hanoi FC respectively. The third place is currently a contest between Hanoi Police FC and The Cong Viettel - two teams separated by only 1 point.

The focus of the final round will take place at the same time at 5 p.m. on June 22 at Quy Nhon and Tam Ky stadiums. The results of the matches between Binh Dinh - Hanoi FC and Da Nang - Song Lam Nghe An will determine which team will be relegated and which will have to compete in the play-off to compete for the relegation spot.
