The demand for stocks appeared at the beginning of the session, helping the market open on September 5 in the green. The recovery of VN-Index was quite good in the first half of the morning session thanks to the contribution of points from two large-cap stocks VIC and VHM.

However, in the second half of the morning session, the general indices showed signs of struggling, narrowing the amplitude due to hesitant cash flow when foreign investors continuously net sold stocks.

The selling liquidity increased sharply in the afternoon session, causing the VN-Index to gradually decrease. In particular, large-cap stocks, most notably banking stocks, were sold off heavily.

Specifically, MBB fell 1.8%, VCB fell nearly 1%,ACB fell 0.6%, CTG fell 0.8%, STB fell 1.6%... which led to a downward trend in the prices of many other groups of stocks. Therefore, many investors think that the fluctuations of the banking group of stocks will have a strong impact on the market in the upcoming session.

At the end of the session, the VN-Index closed at 1,268 points, down 7.5 points, equivalent to 0.59%. However, the bright spot of this session was the Vingroup group of stocks accelerating upward when VHM increased by nearly 3%, VIC increased by nearly 2.4%, helping the market limit the decline.

Rong Viet Securities Company (VDSC) commented that the liquidity of the session 5-9 increased compared to the previous session, showing that the supply is still putting pressure while the cash flow is still cautious. The reversal signal and a decrease below the 1,270 point area may put downward pressure on the market in the next trading session.

However, VCBS Securities Company stated that the market continues to adjust but the pressure is not too great because the demand for stocks still exists. Therefore, investors need to stay calm, continue to maintain the proportion of stocks, closely monitor market developments, and wait for clearer signals to be able to buy stocks at good prices during volatile sessions.
