Vinh Hoan shares hit ceiling after news of pangasius on Japanese sushi chain menu

(Dan Tri) - Vinh Hoan shares have increased continuously for the last 3 sessions, at the highest price range in nearly half a year.

In the stock trading session on September 15, the market recorded many stocks on the HoSE hitting the ceiling price. Notably, VHC of Vinh Hoan Seafood Company increased to the maximum limit, reaching 64,300 VND/unit. This code has increased continuously for the past 3 sessions, also the highest price range since April until now.

Vinh Hoan shares rose sharply after the press reported that Vietnamese pangasius was included in the sushi menu of a famous restaurant chain in Japan. This opened up opportunities to increase Vietnamese pangasius exports to the land of the rising sun.

Vietnamese pangasius used to make sushi reminds many people of the statement of Ms. Truong Thi Le Khanh - Chairman of Vinh Hoan Board of Directors - at the 2022 annual general meeting of shareholders. At that time, the "pangasius queen" once said that if one day pangasius was served on the sushi table, she could boast that she had reached the pinnacle of the industry.

Vinh Hoan was established in 1997 in Dong Thap province in the Mekong Delta, specializing in farming and processing frozen pangasius products. Currently, Vinh Hoan has become the leader in the pangasius industry in farming, production and export. In the first half of the year, the company achieved a profit after tax of nearly 751 billion VND, an increase of 42% over the same period last year.

Returning to market developments, many other stocks on the HoSE floor also hit the ceiling such as CTD (Coteccons), HVN ( Vietnam Airlines ), VIX (VIX Securities), SJS (SJ Group Company), SMC (SMC Steel)...

The cash flow trend was led by VIX, MSN, GMD, HPG, LPB... In which, VIX Securities contributed more than 2 points, trading more than 1,833 billion VND.

On the contrary, some stocks decreased, affecting the index such as VHM, HDB, VPB, MSB...

Foreign investors continued to net sell more than 1,224 billion VND today. The codes that were net sold heavily were FPT, HPG, STB, SSI, CTG. On the contrary, VIX, BID,ACB were net bought.

At the end of the session, VN-Index increased by 17.64 points to 1,684.9 points. Liquidity on HoSE floor reached more than 37,634 billion VND.
