US President Biden's son will plead guilty to tax evasion

According to RT , Mr. Hunter Biden will plead guilty to two charges related to failing to pay federal income taxes, as well as the charge of possessing a gun despite being a former drug user.

The plea agreement comes after months of negotiations between Delaware prosecutors and Hunter Biden's legal team.

The US Justice Department alleges that Mr. Hunter possessed a Colt Cobra revolver in Delaware in October 2018 while knowing he was an unauthorized user.

Mr. Hunter Biden will also have to appear in person in Delaware state court to hear the charges against him in the near future.

The allegations against Hunter Biden arose from an investigation by David Weiss, the US attorney for Delaware appointed by former President Donald Trump.

“The President and First Lady love their son and support him as he continues to rebuild his life,” the White House said in a statement. “We will have no further comment.”

Hunter, 53, has long been the focus of attacks by former US President Donald Trump and his Republican allies against Mr Biden, who have accused him of wrongdoing in business dealings involving Ukraine and China.

Mr. Hunter, a lobbyist, lawyer and investment banker, has publicly detailed his struggle to stop substance abuse.

Hunter Biden’s guilty plea to tax evasion is likely to be a major issue in the 2024 US presidential election. The deal could potentially resolve ongoing investigations into Hunter Biden but ensure he does not face a federal prison sentence.
