Recently, the Economic Security Department, Provincial Police coordinated with the Market Management Department of Phu Tho province and Thanh Thuy District Police to inspect and search the warehouse owned by Nguyen Duc Tinh, born in 1995, located in Zone 8, Dong Trung Commune, Thanh Thuy District.

As a result of the warehouse search, the authorities discovered 5,820 units of products including shoes, mules with the trademark "Adidas and image", shoes with the trademark "NIKE and image". The Adidas and NIKE trademarks were printed and attached directly to the products, inseparable from the products; there were signs of counterfeiting trademarks protected in Vietnam.

At the time of inspection, Nguyen Duc Tinh could not present invoices or documents proving the legal origin of the goods. During the process of working with the authorities, Nguyen Duc Tinh confessed that Tinh bought the above goods on the market without invoices, with the purpose of selling for profit during the Lunar New Year 2025. However, Tinh had not yet sold them on the market. The Market Management Department of Phu Tho province has carried out procedures to temporarily detain all of the above goods and coordinated with the Economic Security Department and the Provincial Police to verify and clarify the case according to the provisions of law.

Nearly 6,000 pairs of shoes show signs of counterfeiting famous brands such as Nike and Adidas.

Counterfeit goods, imitation goods, and goods that infringe intellectual property rights are a headache for state management agencies. Counterfeit goods, imitation goods, and goods that infringe intellectual property rights can cause legitimate businesses to go bankrupt and seriously damage their brands. At the same time, counterfeit goods also have a negative impact on the rights, even the health and lives of consumers.

The authorities carried out procedures to temporarily detain all of the above goods.

Through the above incident, the Provincial Police recommend that people strictly comply with the provisions of the law, not participate in or assist law violators; raise vigilance, and report crimes to competent authorities if suspicious signs are detected.
