Announcing personnel decisions at State Bank, Region 2 branch

(DN)- On July 7, in Ho Chi Minh City, the State Bank of Vietnam (SBV) held a conference to announce the SBV Governor's decision on organization and personnel at SBV Branch Region 2.

Attending the conference were Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam Nguyen Thi Hong; Deputy Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam Pham Tien Dung and leaders of departments and agencies of the State Bank.

On the local side, there were Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Nguyen Van Duoc and Chairman of Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee Vo Tan Duc in attendance.

According to the decision of the Governor of the State Bank, the State Bank Branch Region 2 is an administrative organization under the organizational structure of the State Bank with headquarters located in Ho Chi Minh City, with the function of advising and assisting the Governor of the State Bank in performing state management of currency, banking and foreign exchange activities in Ho Chi Minh City and Dong Nai province.

The conference announced the decision to transfer and appoint the director and deputy directors of the State Bank of Vietnam, Region 2 branch.

Specifically, Mr. Vo Minh Tuan, Director of the State Bank of Vietnam, Ho Chi Minh City branch, was transferred and appointed to hold the position of Director of the State Bank of Vietnam, Region 2 branch.

To transfer and appoint Mr. Nguyen Duc Lenh, Ms. Tran Thi Ngoc Lien and Mr. Tran Dinh Cuong, Deputy Directors of the State Bank of Vietnam, Ho Chi Minh City Branch, to hold the position of Deputy Directors of the State Bank of Vietnam, Region 2 Branch.

Appointed Mr. Pham Quoc Bao, Mr. Vo Dinh Phong, Ms. Lam Thi Hong Ngoc and Mr. Nguyen Dinh Thanh, Deputy Director of the State Bank of Vietnam, Region 12 Branch (old), to hold the position of Deputy Director of the State Bank of Vietnam, Region 2 Branch. In addition, the conference also announced the decision to appoint the heads and deputy heads of departments of the State Bank of Vietnam, Region 2 Branch.

At the conference, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Vo Tan Duc shared that the restructuring of the organization and personnel of the State Bank of Vietnam Branch in Region 2 is a strategic step, in line with the trend of centralized - streamlined - modern management. Dong Nai Province is committed to continuing to create favorable conditions for the banking sector to operate effectively, safely and sustainably.

Provincial leaders also believe that the State Bank of Vietnam Branch Region 2 will be a professional and dynamic coordination center, contributing to increasing the financial and banking management capacity in the region, creating a stable foundation and long-term development for the locality and the region.

Speaking at the conference, Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam Nguyen Thi Hong requested that the State Bank of Vietnam Branch Region 2 pay special attention to cash and treasury operations, ensuring payment activities of people and businesses and ensuring smooth connections. In addition, inspection work also needs special attention, management activities and implementation of national monetary policies must go hand in hand with inspection and supervision work to ensure system safety.
