Han Lac Communal House was built in the 17th century, worshiping La Ta Duong, one of the 12 warlords of the late 10th century, a man of great merit to the people and the country. After many wars, turmoils, and renovations, the communal house has seriously degraded and needs to be repaired.
According to Decision No. 6492/QD-UBND dated December 20, 2024 approving the "Project to restore and embellish Han Lac communal house, Phu Thi commune, Gia Lam district" (now Thuan An commune, Hanoi city), the project aims to "preserve and embellish historical and cultural values, improve material and spiritual life, contribute to the development of culture and society in the locality" with a total investment of VND 30,410,686,000 (Thirty billion four hundred and ten million six hundred and eighty-six thousand dong), implementation progress in 2026-2027.
At the meeting, officers of the Department of Culture, Project Management Board of Thuan An commune, and representatives of the consulting unit presented reports on planning, design, and project implementation progress. Many opinions of representatives of Han Lac village people on the requirements and aspirations of the people clarified some issues that need attention when renovating the communal house, especially the requirement to preserve structures and artifacts of architectural and historical value, ensuring that after the renovation, the project retains the traditional features of a Vietnamese communal house.
