Over 752 billion VND to support people to overcome the consequences of storm No. 10

On October 6, in Hanoi, Politburo member, Party Central Committee Secretary, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee Do Van Chien received support for people in provinces and cities to overcome the consequences of storm No. 10.

Presenting the amount of 2.5 billion VND in support to the Central Relief Mobilization Committee - Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, comrade Nguyen Tuan Anh, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Can Tho City shared that, in response to the call of the Presidium of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, with the spirit of mutual love, the city hopes that the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front will promptly allocate the support money to the people of the provinces that are suffering heavy damage caused by storm No. 10.

Representing the Vietnam National Coal - Mineral Industries Group (Vinacomin) in presenting the donation of 10 billion VND, Deputy General Director of the Vietnam National Coal - Mineral Industries Group (Vinacomin) Tran Hai Binh shared the hope that the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front would promptly allocate both material and spiritual support to families who have just experienced loss of life and property caused by storm No. 10.

Receiving the donation, on behalf of the Presidium of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and people in areas affected by storm No. 10, comrade Do Van Chien expressed his deep gratitude to the agencies, businesses, organizations, groups and individuals who have shown good feelings, shared, helped spiritually and materially, contributing together with the Party and State to support people to overcome the damage caused by storm No. 10.

“After receiving the direction of the Politburo, the Secretariat, headed by General Secretary To Lam and the contents of the Prime Minister's telegrams, the Presidium of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front organized a launching ceremony to support people affected by storm No. 10. The amount of money received will be allocated by the Central Committee for Relief Mobilization - Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front to localities to support households whose houses have collapsed, washed away completely, households whose houses are severely damaged, and whose houses have to be relocated; support people to restore production and support students to continue going to school when the storm passes”, informed comrade Do Van Chien.

Emphasizing that no matter how devastating the storm is, it will eventually pass, only comradeship and solidarity will remain, comrade Do Van Chien pledged that the received money will be used by the Central Relief Mobilization Committee for the right purpose, effectively, publicly and transparently; preventing and combating corruption, waste and negativity in the allocation process and subject to supervision by the people and society.

The Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front hopes that in the coming time, he will continue to receive support from agencies, businesses, organizations, groups, individuals in the country and overseas Vietnamese, and foreigners working and living in Vietnam, to have more resources to help people in the provinces soon rebuild their lives after the recent months of storm after storm, flood after flood.
