Announcing the joint venture contractor for the construction of Quang Tri Airport

On November 30, the People's Committee of Quang Tri province announced that it had issued an official document approving the results of the selection of investors to implement Component Project 2 - Airport Construction under the Quang Tri Airport Construction Investment Project. The winning bidder for the project is a consortium of T&T Transport Infrastructure Investment and Development Company Limited (under T&T Group) and CIENCO4 Group Joint Stock Company.

Perspective of Quang Tri Airport

The Quang Tri Airport Project is implemented under the PPP method, build-operate-transfer (BOT) contract type, with a total investment of more than VND 5,820 billion. The project preparation and construction investment period is 2 years; the contract implementation period (including operation and capital recovery fee collection) is expected to be a maximum of 47 years and 2 months.

According to the design, this airport will be built on an area of ​​more than 265 hectares (including 51.2 hectares of military land) in Gio Quang, Gio Hai, Gio Mai communes (Gio Linh district).

Quang Tri Airport is invested and built to meet the standards of a level 4C airport, capable of developing and exploiting code E aircraft, allowing the exploitation of irregular international routes according to the planning in Decision 648/QD-TTg dated June 7, 2023 of the Prime Minister (when needed) and a level 2 military airport. After completion, this airport will meet the exploitation needs of up to 5 million passengers/year and 25,500 tons of cargo/year.
