Gia Lai Electricity Company: Striving for a 7% increase in electricity output

(GLO)- In 2024, Gia Lai Electricity Company (PCGL) has strived to complete 100% of the set target. This is the basis and motivation for PCGL to set a target of striving for an average electricity output increase of 7% in 2025.

Encouraging results

In 2024, PCGL has ensured adequate, stable, safe and reliable electricity supply, creating momentum to promote the province's socio -economic development, improving people's lives and needs for daily activities, entertainment and recreation.

Commercial electricity output is nearly 1,574 billion kWh, up 14.23% compared to 2023 and 8.47% higher than the assigned plan. The average electricity price is 2,096 VND/kWh. The total number of electricity purchase and sale contracts is 460,595 contracts (including 408,353 household contracts and 52,242 non-household contracts).

To achieve the above results, PCGL has synchronously deployed solutions to ensure the grid operates safely, reliably and efficiently. Accordingly, the Company has inspected and measured 1,523 110 kV line grounding locations; 11,605 medium voltage line grounding locations; 1,397 distribution transformer station grounding locations; replaced more than 91.07 km of insulated wire from construction investment projects, KFW3.1 project. At the same time, it has carried out 1,709 hotline works on the grid, cleaning the hotline grid with high pressure water for 15/15 power plants, 13/13 110 kV transformer stations.

The company also updates, uses, and effectively exploits technical management software PMIS, TTHT, KTHT, DSPM, DMS/SCADA. Thanks to that, PCGL is one of the best performing units in the Central Power Corporation (EVNCPC).

In 2024, PCGL was assigned to manage the investment and construction of 94 projects with a total value of VND 243,745 billion. By the end of the year, 56 projects had completed settlement, 37 projects had completed settlement documents and 1 project was transferred to 2025. The result of capital mobilization and disbursement during the period was VND 243.5 billion, reaching 99.9% of the 2024 capital plan assigned by EVNCPC.

To achieve high results in production and business activities, PCGL has focused on consolidating and developing human resources. Training is always concerned to promptly meet production and business needs in the period when the power system is increasingly developing according to the development of science and technology. During the year, the Company coordinated to organize training for more than 1,500 staff to improve their professional qualifications.

Determined to complete 100% of the planned target

PCGL's goal in 2025 is to ensure safe grid operation, adequate electricity supply for socio-economic development and daily life in the province; apply new technology and information technology to improve production and business efficiency, customer service quality, labor productivity...

Accordingly, the specific targets set by PCGL include: electricity output increasing by 5-7% with more than 1.577 billion kWh; commercial electricity reaching more than 1.546 billion kWh, increasing revenue, increasing average selling price, reducing costs to increase production and business profits.

To achieve that goal, PCGL proposes fundamental solutions such as: creating all conditions for power supply procedures to put new loads into use as quickly as possible; ensuring the longest power supply time for customers, shortening power outage time to the lowest level for power outage repair work, power outage due to prolonged incidents, making the most of grid work by hotline.

Pay attention to electricity usage inspection to promptly detect errors in the electricity metering system as well as detect electricity theft to recover lost electricity output.

Calculate focused and effective investments and put into operation as soon as possible the construction investment projects in 2025, especially 21 projects to complete the medium and low voltage power grid in districts, towns and cities in the province; 3 projects to install switching equipment; 1 project to install capacitor banks; 1 project to build communication loops.

At the same time, the Company continues to promote the application of information technology in business and customer service; promote the promotion and installation of customer service apps; field operations will be digitized, operated on smart mobile devices; promote electricity service payments on online payment channels, mobile money.
