Entering the new school year with poor border students

Entering the 2025-2026 school year, students in border and island areas of An Giang province still face many difficulties. Border Guard officers and soldiers understand these things. Therefore, the Provincial Border Guard Command directed units attending the opening ceremony to organize many practical activities to support and empower students with difficult circumstances in the area to confidently and enthusiastically enter the new school year.

Tho Chau Special Zone is located more than 300km from the mainland. On the opening day of September 5, officers and soldiers of Tho Chau Border Guard Station contributed funds to donate 500 notebooks to support disadvantaged students in the area; donated 29 million VND to 4 students in the project "Army officers and soldiers help children go to school"; donated 1 million VND to 2 children in the program "Helping children go to school".

At the opening ceremony, Ganh Dau Border Guard Station (Phu Quoc special zone) presented 30 uniforms and 500 notebooks to poor students, worth 21 million VND in total. Previously, the Party Committee and Command of Ha Tien International Border Guard Station (Ha Tien ward) presented 800 notebooks to support students in difficult circumstances, worth 6.4 million VND. The units continued to mobilize funds, organize the purchase of notebooks, books, clothes, and school supplies to continue to give to students in difficult circumstances.
