According to the latest announcement of the Vietnam Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development ( Agribank ), on September 19 and 20, some media reported that the police were looking for Mr. Nguyen The Binh, former leader of Agribank. The reason is related to the incident that occurred nearly 20 years ago. Mr. Nguyen The Binh was born in 1954 in Hung Yen and is the former Chairman of the Board of Members of Agribank.

In response to this information, Agribank said the incident was the personal responsibility of Mr. Nguyen The Binh, who left Agribank many years ago, and law enforcement agencies are considering responsibility.

“This incident is completely unrelated to the management, operation and business activities of Agribank at the current stage,” the announcement stated.
