Da Nang resolves backlog of driver's license applications

Proactively remove difficulties

Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Thien Hoang, Captain of the Road Motor Vehicle Driving License Examination and Issuance Team (Traffic Police Department, Da Nang City Police) said that based on the actual situation in the city, the unit has deployed 16 points to receive applications for issuing and exchanging driving licenses (2 points under the Traffic Police Department, 14 points at commune-level police stations).

At the same time, publicly post regulations, administrative procedures, working hours, fees, charges, etc. As of September 14, the unit received 31,157 applications for issuance, renewal, and re-issuance of all types of driving licenses.

In particular, with the determination to completely resolve the backlog of records due to the impact of the task handover process, the unit has proactively assigned forces to directly work with training facilities to grasp the people's needs for testing and granting driving licenses.

From March 1 to September 14, the Road Motor Vehicle Driving License Examination and Issuance Team advised on organizing 146 driving tests for 47,110 candidates (23,364 motorbike candidates, 21,730 car candidates and 2,016 car candidates with expired driving licenses), achieving a pass rate of 63.59%.

For class C alone, the exam was organized for 1,193 candidates (100% of students qualified to take the exam), and so far there are no pending applications.

The work of completing documents, entering data, and generating driving license numbers is being carried out seriously, ensuring that within 2 hours of the end of the test period, it is sent to the Traffic Police Department ( Ministry of Public Security ) for approval. Up to now, 100% of the cases that passed the test have candidate data that ensures that the driving license number has been generated.

At the same time, regularly urge training institutions to promptly process data, coordinate in reviewing records, promptly detect errors; establish a working group to support testing management software and coordinate with testing centers to ensure safety and transparency during the testing process.

According to Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Thien Hoang, in the coming time, the unit will continue to organize public and transparent examinations, and at the same time complete and archive records according to regulations. In addition, it will guide people to carry out the issuance and exchange procedures on the National Public Service Portal, integrating driving license information on the national identification application (VNeID).

The unit thoroughly educates officers and soldiers to uphold their sense of responsibility and absolutely not allow negativity to occur while performing their duties.

Integrating driver's license on VNeID

Currently, in addition to using accounts on VNeID, traffic participants can exploit data on the electronic information page about driving licenses (https://gplx.csgt.bocongan.gov.vn) or the VneTraffic application to present their driving licenses when inspected by authorities.

The information on the electronic identification application, the driver's license information website and the VneTraffic application has the same value as a physical driver's license.

The Traffic Police Department said that after passing the test to issue a driving license that meets the requirements on the individual's VNeID (according to the declared personal identification code), people will receive a notification message and request to update their driving license information.

Then people update information as required, provided that the citizen ID number matches the ID number when registering for the exam and installing VNeID level 2.

However, there are also cases where the VNeID electronic identification account has not displayed driver's license information data after 3 days since the person who passed the test has completed the declaration procedures.

The reason is that the transmission line is overloaded, the data synchronization process between systems has to go through many steps, leading to slowness; the individual incorrectly declared one of the information contents; the individual did not open the message and make the update request on VNeID.
