Da Nang urgently deploys response to storm Bualoi

DNO - On the afternoon of September 26, the Da Nang City Civil Defense Command said it had organized serious on-duty shifts, closely monitored the development of storm Bualoi and the weather situation, and advised on the issuance of documents directing the implementation of natural disaster response.

Da Nang is building a database for natural disaster prevention and control and is gradually directing natural disaster response based on a real-time IoT monitoring system, operating on digital data.

There are 85 communes and wards that have developed and approved disaster response plans according to disaster risk levels.

The Search and Rescue Information Station under the City Border Guard Command and coastal units broadcast news about the location and developments of the storm to fishing vessels operating at sea and called for instructions for fishing vessels and vehicles to proactively avoid and move out of the storm's affected area, and plan their journeys and production to ensure safety.

As of noon on September 26, Da Nang still had 109 fishing boats with 881 workers operating in the Hoang Sa waters; 69 fishing boats with 2,923 workers operating in the Truong Sa waters; 2 fishing boats with 146 workers in the Gulf of Tonkin. The Border Guard Command is continuing to monitor and contact the owners of the vessels to call for shelter from the storm.

The Da Nang City Civil Defense Command continues to request departments, branches, sectors and localities to proactively prepare storm prevention plans on sea routes, coastal routes and mainland; reinforce houses, infrastructure and sea dykes; support agricultural harvest; ensure safety of people's lives and property and the State.

At the same time, prepare rescue forces and means; prohibit people from staying on rafts when the storm arrives; strictly control travel on rivers, streams, and reservoirs.
