Da Nang started construction of Da Nang Downtown project, with total capital of nearly 80,000 billion VND

DNO - On the morning of August 19, Sun Group and the People's Committee of Da Nang City held a groundbreaking ceremony for the Da Nang Downtown high-end cultural, entertainment, commercial and service park complex project at No. 1 Phan Dang Luu, Hoa Cuong Ward.

Attending the event were comrades: Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam Nguyen Thi Hong; Major General Le Ngoc Hai, Commander of Military Region V; Standing Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee Nguyen Dinh Vinh; Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the city Le Tri Thanh; Standing Vice Chairman of the City People's Council Tran Phuoc Son, Standing Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Ho Ky Minh.

Speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony, Permanent Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Ho Ky Minh said that Da Nang is on a strong journey to affirm its position as a leading tourism , trade, service and entertainment center in the region.

In just 7 months of 2025, Da Nang welcomed more than 10.7 million overnight visitors (up 18%), of which international visitors were more than 4.2 million (up 21%). The goal of welcoming more than 17 million visitors this year is completely feasible.

In the development picture of Da Nang tourism, the Da Nang Downtown high-class cultural, entertainment and commercial service park project owns a prime location, a connecting center with diverse entertainment - recreation - resort experiences, will become a vibrant destination, contributing to awakening the potential of the night economy, creating attraction for city tourism.

With the methodical planning and experience of investor Sun Group, city leaders believe that Da Nang Downtown will be a new driving force for development, contributing to the completion of the city's tourism infrastructure. Mr. Nguyen Van Binh, Chairman of the Central Region of Sun Group Corporation, said that the Da Nang Downtown project will create a new symbol worthy of the position and strength of the new Da Nang, especially helping the city exploit the potential of the night economy to attract domestic and foreign tourists.

Sun Group hopes that Da Nang Downtown will bring Da Nang tourism to a new level, comparable to leading tourist centers in Asia such as Singapore, Shanghai or Hong Kong.

It is known that the Da Nang Downtown complex has a scale of 76.92 hectares, located in Hoa Cuong ward (old Asia Park), with a total investment of about 79,790 billion VND. including: cultural and entertainment park, theater, riverside commercial area, green park by Han River and the iconic 69-storey tower, the tallest in Central Vietnam.
