Da Nang: SURF 2024 Innovation and Startup Festival is coming soon

DNVN - Danang Innovation and Startup Festival - SURF 2024 will be held on August 29-30 at the University of Technology (Danang University).

At the press conference on the morning of August 22 introducing the Danang Innovation and Startup Festival (SURF) - SURF 2024, Deputy Director of the Danang Department of Science and Technology Le Thi Thuc said that this event will take place on August 29-30 at the University of Technology (Danang University) with the theme "Reaching Creativity - Connecting the World" and conveying the message "Danang - City of Innovation".

According to Ms. Le Thi Thuc, SURF is an annual event for the startup community in Da Nang to promote the development of the startup ecosystem in the city, create increasingly close connections between the elements in the ecosystem and support startups to connect, seek business opportunities, promote products, services, investment and recruitment.

Within the framework of SURF 2024, the exhibition of innovative activities on the virtual reality exhibition platform will be held from August 15 to December 30, attracting more than 80 participating booths. The innovation competition will be organized in 2 rounds with 30 participating teams. Of which, the preliminary round took place on July 26. From August 23 to 24, training will be organized for 10 projects selected for the final round, which will take place on August 29 and awards will be presented at the opening session of SURF 2024 on August 30.

In particular, during the Danang Innovation Festival - SURF 2024, there will be a scientific workshop connecting the Danang - Seoul innovation space; a workshop connecting investment and innovation between Danang - Korea - Singapore; a scientific workshop on "Pioneering technology - Sustainable startups";

Scientific workshop "Model and network for developing student startup clubs in Da Nang city"; presentation of ideas - investment connection in startups; exhibition of innovative activities with more than 90 booths participating directly at the festival; launching of Da Nang - Singapore innovation space.

Ms. Le Thi Thuc emphasized that the SURF 2024 event is a place to gather, meet, exchange, and connect investments of experts, startup support organizations, investors, venture capital funds, domestic and foreign partners to Da Nang and attract investment interest, support, and learning from the community.

“SURF 2024 is a special place for startups to introduce their projects, technologies, and startup products to investors and the community. At the same time, the event also seeks support for the development of potential innovative projects and supports the enhancement of the entities in the innovative ecosystem of Da Nang City,” said Ms. Le Thi Thuc.
