Provincial People's Council delegates meet voters of Quang Xuong district

On the morning of June 5, the delegation of the Provincial People's Council, including delegates: Pham Thi Thanh Thuy, member of the Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Commission, Chairman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee; Priest Tran Xuan Manh, non-professional Vice Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, Chairman of the Vietnam Catholic Solidarity Committee, Chairman of the Catholic Solidarity Committee of Thanh Hoa Province; Nguyen Quoc Tien, member of the Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of the Quang Xuong District Party Committee; Nguyen Duc Thinh, Deputy Director of the Department of Planning and Investment, had a meeting with voters of Quang Xuong district.

At the meeting, the representative of the Provincial People's Council Delegation announced the expected content and agenda of the 20th session of the 18th Provincial People's Council; reported a summary of the socio -economic, defense and security situation of the province in the first 5 months of the year, estimated implementation in the first 6 months of 2024 and tasks and solutions to implement key tasks in the last 6 months of 2024. At the same time, reported the results of handling voters' opinions and recommendations sent to the 7th, 11th, 14th and 17th sessions of the 18th Provincial People's Council.

In a democratic and frank atmosphere, voters of Quang Xuong district expressed their excitement about the socio-economic development of the province in the first 6 months of 2024; at the same time, they reflected to the Provincial People's Council delegates on issues of concern to the people.

Voters of Quang Xuong district requested the company to exploit irrigation works, all levels and sectors to review and consider plans to renovate and upgrade the canal system to ensure proactive and effective production. Requested People's Council delegates to recommend and propose to the People's Council, the Provincial People's Committee, all levels and functional sectors to research, develop and promulgate policies to attract businesses to invest in the agricultural sector; propose support policies for localities to effectively implement the New Rural Development Program.

Delegate Nguyen Quoc Tien, Provincial Party Committee member, Secretary of Quang Xuong District Party Committee, reported on the results of handling voters' opinions and recommendations sent to the 7th, 11th, 14th and 17th Sessions of the 18th Provincial People's Council.

Voters also mentioned the difficulties and problems related to land use planning and plans that affect the socio-economic development tasks of the district; the difficulties and shortcomings in granting land use rights to the people, especially the historical backlogs under the authority of the province, ministries and central branches. Thereby, it is recommended that People's Council delegates give their opinions to the Provincial People's Committee, relevant departments and branches to consider and resolve difficult and complicated cases.

Propose that the People's Council delegates recommend to the Provincial People's Committee to soon direct relevant departments, branches and sectors to appraise and approve the feasibility study report of the National Highway 1A bypass project, the eastern section from Hoang Hoa - Quang Xuong so that the district has a basis to adjust and propose adjustments to the planning, as a basis for adjusting projects and speeding up the implementation progress of related projects in the area.

Propose that People's Council delegates give opinions and recommendations to provincial-level sectors, investors and developers to soon deploy and complete the coastal road, the section passing through Quang Xuong district, especially the Thach Chau bridge project to soon promote investment efficiency, meeting the needs and aspirations of the people.

Voters also requested the province and district to synchronously implement solutions to develop Quang Xuong sea tourism industry quickly and sustainably, becoming an important economic sector in the economic structure of the province and district, not leaving land fallow and wasting resources.

Voter Nguyen Thi Thu, Head of the District Department of Education and Training, made a recommendation.

Many opinions of voters in communes and towns in Quang Xuong district mentioned the following contents: Requesting the Provincial People's Council delegates to recommend the National Assembly to soon supplement the budget for payment of adjustment allowances for people with meritorious services; supplementing the regime of people who worship martyrs to authorize others to visit martyrs' graves or move martyrs' remains and the authorized person will be paid the expenses. Reviewing and resolving the policy on recruiting trade union officials; having a policy for workers with sick children from 7 to under 16 years old to take time off work to take care of them; having a preferential policy for buying social housing for workers...

Overview of the conference to meet voters.

Recommend that the province consider and implement the regime for non-professional workers at the commune level; increase the annual recruitment or contract teacher quota for the education sector; provide specific guidance on implementation costs for contract teachers according to Decree 111/ND-CP of the Government; pay attention to supporting the provision of teaching equipment for classrooms so that schools are eligible for recognition as national standard schools in the second quarter of 2024...

Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Commission, Chairwoman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee Pham Thi Thanh Thuy received opinions from voters of Quang Xuong district and explained some additional issues of concern to voters.

On behalf of the Provincial People's Council Delegation, Comrade Pham Thi Thanh Thuy, Member of the Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Commission, Chairman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, thanked the voters of Quang Xuong district for their dedicated and responsible opinions for the goal of local socio-economic development. She also analyzed and clarified the issues of concern to voters; at the same time, affirmed that the Provincial People's Council Delegation fully accepted the voters' proposals and recommendations to synthesize and report to the Provincial People's Council for consideration and resolution.

The Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Commission and Chairman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee requested relevant functional agencies and Quang Xuong district to seriously receive, inspect, consider, and promptly resolve reasonable and accurate recommendations from voters.
