Provincial and Dong Ha City People's Council delegates met with voters in Ward 4

This morning, August 14, Dong Ha City Party Secretary Le Quang Chien and the delegation of the 8th Provincial People's Council and the 12th Dong Ha City People's Council met with voters after the regular mid-year meeting in 2024 in Ward 4, Dong Ha City.

At the meeting, voters listened to the Provincial People's Council and City People's Council delegates report on the results of the 25th and 26th sessions of the 8th Provincial People's Council; the 19th session of the 12th City People's Council; an overview of the implementation of socio-economic development tasks, national defense and security in the first 6 months of 2024. Notably, Dong Ha City has been recognized as a type II urban area since August 8, 2024; and the results of handling voters' opinions and recommendations at previous voter meetings.

Speaking, voters from Quarter 3, Ward 4 said that the Border Training Center of the Quang Tri Provincial Border Guard had been relocated for many years, leaving the headquarters empty and increasingly degraded, losing its beauty and polluting the environment. Voters recommended that authorities at all levels soon have a solution to avoid waste.

Currently, the number of ethnic minorities wandering and begging along Highway 9 is increasing, affecting daily life and urban order. Voters recommend that measures be taken to propagate and encourage these people to return to their places of residence.

Voters also hope that the locality will survey and research to rearrange the location for the construction of the neighborhood hall; at the same time, pay attention and support capital for the construction of sidewalks on National Highway 9, contributing to the construction of a spacious, clean and beautiful urban area.

The fact that Minh Hung Quang Tri Joint Stock Company dumped materials to fill people's fields and gardens also made many voters angry, and they requested that the local government soon have a plan to handle this situation.

Excited about the news that Dong Ha City has achieved the status of a class II urban area, voters of Quarter 1, Ward 4 hope that authorities at all levels will pay attention to and upgrade some degraded traffic routes in the area. Invest early in building embankments to prevent landslides along the Hieu River to ensure people's safety, especially during the upcoming storm season. Issues related to the allowance regime for grassroots medical collaborators; handling unsafe situations at "bottleneck" traffic points; some households have not yet been granted land use rights certificates... were also mentioned by voters.

At the voter meeting, local leaders received and explained voters' recommendations according to their authority.

Secretary of the Dong Ha City Party Committee Le Quang Chien acknowledged the enthusiastic opinions of the voters. For opinions under the authority of superiors and related departments, branches, sectors and units, the delegation of the Provincial People's Council and the Dong Ha City People's Council will study and forward them to the competent authorities for consideration and resolution as soon as possible.
