The 13th Provincial Congress of Vietnam Fatherland Front, term 2024

The 13th Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Dien Bien province, term 2024 - 2029 takes place at a time when the Party Committee, government and people of all ethnic groups in the province are striving to compete, take advantage of favorable opportunities, overcome difficulties and challenges to successfully implement the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress, the Resolution of the 14th Provincial Party Congress; make achievements to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu victory (May 7, 1954 - May 7, 2024), the 115th anniversary of the establishment of the province (June 28, 1909 - June 28, 2024), the 75th anniversary of the establishment of the Provincial Party Committee (October 10, 1949 - October 10, 2024) and welcome the 10th Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, term 2024 - 2029.

In the first working session, the Congress asked for opinions on the form of consultation and election; conducted consultation to elect the Presidium and Secretariat of the Congress; approved the program and regulations of the Congress; reported on the situation of delegates attending the Congress; reported on the comments on the draft documents of the 13th Provincial Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front; commented on the draft documents of the 10th National Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front; commented on amendments and supplements to the Charter of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, term IX.

The Congress also reported on the review of the activities of the Committee, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, term XII, 2019 - 2024. At the same time, it listened to a number of presentations from member organizations and coordinating agencies, such as: The Provincial Women's Union at all levels actively implemented the Campaign "All people unite to build new rural areas and civilized urban areas" associated with the National Target Program on new rural construction and sustainable poverty reduction"; The Dien Bien District Fatherland Front Committee promoted the strength of the people of all ethnic groups in implementing the "For the Poor" Fund and social security work; The Provincial Border Guard Command on the results and a number of solutions in coordination with the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee in the term 2019 - 2024.

Delegates consulted to elect the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province, term XIII, 2024 - 2029.

The Congress consulted and elected the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee for the 13th term, 2024 - 2029, consisting of 78 members (leaving 5 vacant positions to be filled after the Congress); consulted and elected the Delegation to attend the 10th National Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front for the 2024 - 2029 term, consisting of 6 official delegates and 2 alternate delegates.

Leaders of the 12th Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee awarded Certificates of Merit to collectives and individuals.

Also at the meeting, the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee awarded Certificates of Merit to 9 collectives and 17 individuals with outstanding achievements in the front work for the 2019-2024 term and the special emulation movement to welcome the Congresses of the Vietnam Fatherland Front at all levels towards the 10th National Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, term 2024-2029.

The 13th Provincial Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front for the 2024-2029 term has the theme "Solidarity - Democracy - Innovation - Development". The Congress takes place in 2 days (August 22-23). On August 23, the Congress will continue to hold the second working session to complete the contents according to the set program.
