According to comrade Tran Nam Thuan, Chairman of Dak Glong District People's Committee, regarding forest management and protection, the district has issued many documents to lead and direct resolutely. Every week, the district chairman and vice chairman go to the forest to grasp the actual situation. However, forest management and protection face many difficulties. Particularly in Quang Son area, the district has assigned the commune police force to review all residents in the forest to propagate, mobilize and have appropriate handling measures. Besides, some forest management and protection units in the district have very weak organizational apparatus, "old wine in new bottles", building guardhouses wherever they destroy forests, affecting forest management and protection. Not to mention, currently, deforestation is taking place in a sophisticated manner, the team doing work related to forest management and protection is thin, making it difficult to carry out tasks.

Implementing Conclusion No. 840 and 120 of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, up to now, Dak Ha commune has recovered over 3.9 hectares of illegally encroached area.
licensed and planted forests on the reclaimed area; Quang Son commune has reclaimed over 27 hectares of encroached forest land and planted pine trees. In order to improve the effectiveness of forest management and protection, the Provincial People's Committee has just issued Decision No. 458 on reorganizing the inter-district forest ranger unit under the Provincial Forest Protection Department. In particular, Dak Glong District Forest Ranger Unit and Gia Nghia City Forest Ranger Unit were merged into Dak Glong - Gia Nghia Inter-District Forest Ranger Unit.

To contribute to preventing deforestation and stabilizing spontaneous migration, at the end of 2022, the Provincial People's Committee issued Decision No. 1740 approving the Project to stabilize spontaneous migration in Dak Nong province for the period 2021 - 2025, with a vision to 2030. The goal is to strive for a basically no more spontaneous migration by 2025; complete the arrangement of all spontaneous migration households with about 5,450 households, including Dak Glong district.

Speaking at a recent working session between the Dak Nong Provincial Party Committee's working delegation and the Dak Glong District Party Committee's Standing Committee, comrade Le Trong Yen, member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Dak Nong Provincial People's Committee, said that in the work of forest protection and management, although the number of cases has decreased, Dak Glong still has extremely complicated hot spots.

Dak Glong needs to strengthen forest, forest land and population management to limit deforestation and encroachment on forestry land.

In particular, the People's Committees at the commune level and the enterprises assigned to manage must review the management and protection of forests according to their responsibilities. Dak Glong district needs to focus on forest areas where many households have built houses. On that basis, analyze the subjects for propaganda, mobilization, and handling solutions according to a specific roadmap.
