On the morning of January 3, the Party Committee of Military Region 3 held the 10th conference to issue a resolution on leadership in implementing military and defense tasks and Party building in 2025.
General Nguyen Tan Cuong, member of the Party Central Committee, member of the Central Military Commission, Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army, Deputy Minister of National Defense , spoke at the conference.
General Nguyen Tan Cuong, member of the Party Central Committee, member of the Central Military Commission, Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army (VPA), Deputy Minister of National Defense attended and directed the conference. Lieutenant General Nguyen Quang Cuong, Secretary of the Party Committee, Political Commissar of Military Region 3 chaired the conference. Attending the conference were Lieutenant General Nguyen Quang Ngoc, member of the Party Central Committee, member of the Central Military Commission, Commander of the Military Region; members of the Party Central Committee, alternate members of the Party Central Committee; secretaries of provincial and municipal Party Committees in Military Region 3. Attending the conference on the side of Thai Binh province was comrade Nguyen Khac Than, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Military Party Committee.

In 2024, the Party Committee of Military Region 3 thoroughly grasped and strictly implemented the directives and resolutions of the Central Military Commission and the Ministry of National Defense and comprehensively carried out all aspects of work, successfully completing local military and defense tasks. Notably, it led and directed the strict maintenance of discipline and combat readiness regime (SSCD), improving the quality of training according to the motto "basic, practical, solid" and closely following the reality and combat objects. Well prepared forces and means to participate in preventing, combating, overcoming the consequences of natural disasters, and search and rescue. Coordinated with provinces and cities to lead and direct the implementation of local military and defense tasks; built forces, selected and called citizens to join the army; educated and fostered knowledge of national defense and security to ensure quality; built increasingly solid formations in the defense areas of provinces and cities...
In 2025, the Party Committee of Military Region 3 agreed on a number of tasks and solutions, which are: Strictly maintain the combat readiness regime; coordinate with forces to grasp the situation at the border, sea and islands and inland, promptly and effectively handle situations, avoid being passive and surprised. Lead the comprehensive completion of the targets set out in the Resolution of the 9th Military Region Party Congress; successfully organize the Party Congresses at all levels in the Party Committee, armed forces (LLVT) of the Military Region, and the 10th Military Region Party Congress. Improve the overall quality and combat readiness of the Military Region's armed forces; closely coordinate with local Party committees and authorities to build an increasingly solid all-people national defense posture associated with an increasingly solid people's security posture. Continue to resolutely direct to create solid changes in building discipline, compliance with discipline, law, and military administrative reform. Enhance the leadership capacity and fighting strength of Party organizations, build a strong Party organization in the Military Region in terms of politics, ideology, ethics, organization and cadres, and a comprehensively strong "Exemplary and typical" Military Region Armed Forces.

Speaking at the conference, comrade Nguyen Khac Than, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Military Party Committee, briefly reported on the results that Thai Binh has achieved in Party building and political system, socio-economic development, and implementation of local military and defense tasks, and affirmed that in these general achievements, there is the active facilitation and support of the Ministry of National Defense and Military Region 3.
He emphasized: In 2025, Thai Binh aims to achieve a double-digit economic growth rate. Therefore, the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council and People's Committee will focus on directing the removal of "bottlenecks" and "bottlenecks", focusing on institutional reform to promote socio-economic development. The province is determined to continue to do well in site clearance, investment in building economic zones, building connecting traffic routes... to create conditions to promote investment attraction in the province. In the immediate future, Thai Binh will focus on taking care of the people during Tet, ensuring that all poor and near-poor households receive Tet gifts; organizing recreational activities so that people can enjoy Tet and welcome spring safely and healthily.
Regarding local military and defense tasks, Thai Binh continues to invest in building headquarters of the Military Commands of coastal communes; completes the task of selecting and calling citizens to join the army to ensure the assigned quota of the Military Region; continues to build district-level defense tunnels; improves the combat readiness of the provincial military to meet the requirements and tasks in the new situation...
He also recommended that the Ministry of National Defense and Military Region 3 continue to create conditions for Thai Binh to successfully implement the goals and tasks set out in 2025; including creating conditions for the province to convert some areas of national defense land to serve socio-economic development purposes.
Speaking at the conference, General Nguyen Tan Cuong, member of the Party Central Committee, member of the Central Military Commission, Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army, Deputy Minister of National Defense, requested that in the coming time, the Party Committee of Military Region 3 focus on leadership, direction, grasping, forecasting, and correctly assessing the situation, promptly advising the Central Military Commission and the Ministry of National Defense to handle defense and security situations well, avoiding passivity and surprise, especially on the border, sea, islands and key areas. Effectively lead and direct the implementation of the Party's resolutions on socio-economic development associated with ensuring defense and security. Mobilize and effectively use resources to build a strong national defense and a solid defense zone of the Military Region. Organize training, exercises, competitions and sports events to achieve high results, ensuring absolute safety. Proactively prepare plans, strategies, forces and means to be ready to effectively respond to natural disasters and fires and perform well the rescue mission. Focus on building a strong Party organization in the Military Region in terms of politics, ideology, ethics, organization and personnel. Continue to adjust the organization of the force to be lean, compact and strong according to the Resolution of the Politburo and the direction of the Central Steering Committee on summarizing Resolution No. 18-NQ/TW of the 12th Party Central Committee "Some issues on continuing to innovate and reorganize the apparatus of the political system to be lean, effective and efficient"; take care of and build a strong Military Region's armed forces in terms of politics, meeting the requirements of the tasks in the new situation.
