Admission criteria and methods of the People's Police Academy 2025

In 2025, the People's Police Academy will enroll 530 students based on the following 3 admission methods:

Method 1: Direct admission according to current admission regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training and regulations of the Ministry of Public Security.

Subjects: Candidates who have won awards according to the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training and the time of winning the award is not more than 03 (three) years from the time of direct admission.

About the award:

+ Candidates in the national team participating in international science and technology competitions or candidates summoned to participate in the national team selection exam for international and regional Olympic competitions according to the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training will be considered for direct admission to one of the Police schools according to the candidate's wishes;
+ Candidates who win first prize in the national high school exam for excellent students in Math, Physics, Chemistry, Literature, History, and English will be considered for direct admission.
into one of the fields T01, T02, T04, T05;
+ Candidates who win first prize in the national high school exam for excellent students in Math, Physics, Literature, History, Geography, and English will be directly admitted to T03;
+ Candidates who win first prize in the national high school English exam will be directly admitted to the English Language major of B06;
+ Candidates who win first prize in the national high school competition for excellent students in Chinese will be directly admitted to the Chinese Language major of B06; Candidates who win first prize in the national science and technology competition of high school will be directly admitted to T06, T07; the Medical major sent to study at the Military Medical Academy - Ministry of National Defense of T07; the Information Technology major, the Cyber Security and High-Tech Crime Prevention major of T01;

- High school graduate by the time of admission confirmation

Method 2: Admission combines international language certificates with the results of the Ministry of Public Security's assessment test.

- Have an international foreign language certificate no more than 02 (two) years from the date of issuance to April 1, 2025, the certificate is issued by an organization authorized by the Ministry of Education and Training to issue certificates of one of the following certificates:
+ English: IELTS (Academic) 5.5 or higher, TOEFL iBT 46 or higher, TOEIC (L&R & S&W) 600 and 242 or higher, CEFR B2 or higher, SAT 1100 or higher
+ Chinese from HSK 4 or higher; Spanish from DELE B2 or higher; French from DALF/DELF B2 or higher; Russian from TRKI (TORFL) B2 or higher
+ German from Goethe-Zertifikat/telc B2 or higher; Japanese from JLPT N3 or higher
+ Korean language proficiency from TOPIK 4 or higher
+ Italian from CELI 3 or higher

B06 English Language Department only accepts candidates with English certificates, B06 Chinese Language Department only accepts candidates with Chinese certificates. Home Edition foreign language certificates are not accepted.

Candidates who plan to take an international language certificate exam during the preliminary selection period can still register, but the official certificate exam date must be before May 30, 2025. Complete and submit the foreign language certificate at the Police Academy before June 15, 2025.

- Academic ranking in grades 10, 11, 12 is good or higher. In which, the average score of foreign language in high school years is from 7.0 points or higher.

For candidates studying in grade 12, preliminary registration is still allowed. After the final grade score of grade 12 is available, the regulations will be used to determine whether the candidate meets the conditions or not.

- High school graduate by the time of admission confirmation.

Method 3: Admission combines high school graduation exam results with assessment test results of the Ministry of Public Security.

Object

- Active duty police officer.
- Citizens who have completed their military service in the People's Public Security and have a discharge decision within 12 months from the month of recruitment.
- Grade 11 students
- Citizens residing permanently in the locality where the preliminary registration is made.

Admission requirements

Candidates, in addition to ensuring the conditions prescribed by the Ministry of Education and Training, must meet the following conditions:

- Meet political and moral standards according to current regulations of the Ministry of Public Security in Circular No. 48/2023/TT-BCA dated October 10, 2023 of the Minister of Public Security stipulating political standards of police officers and soldiers, Instruction No. 19119/X01-P6 dated November 23, 2023 of X01 and 19129/HD-TCCB dated November 23, 2023 of X01.
- Police conscripts have worked for 15 months or more up to the month of the recruitment exam; classified as "Completing the task" or higher in the year immediately preceding the year of recruitment.
- Citizens who complete their obligation to join the People's Public Security Forces during their military service, and annually achieve the level of "Completing tasks" or higher, of which at least 01 (one) year achieves the level of "Completing tasks well".
- Citizens who have completed their obligation to join the People's Public Security Forces, citizens with permanent residence in the locality where they register for the preliminary selection, grade 11 students in high school years or equivalent with good academic performance or higher according to the conclusion of their transcripts.
- Candidates are active duty police officers and candidates belonging to Category 01 with average or above academic performance according to the transcript conclusion.
- Citizens who have completed their service to join the People's Public Security Forces, grade 11 students must have each subject in the admission combination to the People's Public Security Academy scored 6.5 points or higher; Citizens residing in the locality where they registered for the preliminary selection for each subject in the admission combination to the People's Public Security Academy must have 7.0 points or higher, in the case of ethnic minorities, each subject in the admission combination to the People's Public Security Academy must have 6.5 points or higher (on-duty police officers, candidates in Subject 01 do not apply this condition).
- Grade 11 students and permanent residents of the locality where they register for preliminary selection during their high school years or equivalent, with good conduct or better, unmarried, and without biological or adopted children according to the provisions of law.
- As of the year of application, grade 11 students and permanent residents in the locality where the preliminary application is registered must be no older than 22 years old, and in the case of ethnic minorities, no older than 25 years old.
