Proposal to prosecute the accused for organizing illegal exit and entry for others

On September 8, the An Giang Provincial Police Investigation Security Agency said it had transferred the case file to the An Giang Provincial People's Procuracy to propose prosecuting Vo Chi Linh, born in 2001, residing in Vinh Dieu Commune, Giang Thanh District, Kien Giang Province (now Vinh Dieu Commune, An Giang Province) for organizing illegal exit and entry for others.

On December 19, 2024, Vo Chi Linh received a phone call from a Cambodian named Lim hiring him to take two Vietnamese people to illegally exit the country to Cambodia for 500,000 VND/person.

Linh used a motorbike to take them to Dong Cu hamlet, Vinh Dieu commune, put them on a boat across Vinh Te river and then led them along the rice field road to landmark 292/2 to cross the border.

On January 6, 2025, Lim continued to hire Linh at the same price to bring the two people back to Vietnam.

On March 26, 2025, the Security Investigation Agency of Kien Giang Provincial Police (now An Giang Provincial Police ) issued a decision to prosecute Vo Chi Linh for organizing illegal exit and entry for others.
