In 1972, a strange thing happened to the family of Mr. Thach Huu Son Loc, a native of Thanh Hai, China. His father was working at the Chaka salt lake at that time and accidentally found a stone while working.

At that time, he only saw a stone with many strange patterns like human fingerprints. Later, Son Loc's father changed jobs and the family moved to another place, they took this object with them. Although no one knew what kind of stone it was, Son Loc's mother used it as a magic stone.

More than 40 years passed, that is, in 2012, a friend knowledgeable about meteorites and the universe visited Son Loc's house. Upon seeing the stone, this person said it could be a meteorite. He advised Son Loc's family to seek experts for accurate verification.

Son Loc and his friend went to the China Meteorite Collectors Association in Linyi, Shandong to have it appraised. Experts confirmed that it was a meteorite. They suggested that to be sure, Son Loc should take the stone to the China University of Geology in Beijing to determine its composition and issue a certificate.

At the Testing Center of the China University of Geology, experts issued a certificate to Son Loc's family. According to the analysis, this is a meteorite containing stone, iron and nickel. Its weight is 512 grams. The special feature of this meteorite is that on the surface there are very unique patterns like the patterns on a human hand.

Experts estimate that this meteorite is worth about 4,000 NDT/gram (more than 13 million VND/gram), which means its value is about more than 2 million NDT (nearly 7 billion VND). Knowing this information, Son Loc was very surprised, it turned out that his family had owned a "treasure" of making magic stones for a long time.

Meteorites are likened to sky stones, in English called meteoroids. It is known as a natural object from outer space, after colliding with the atmosphere falls to the earth (in the form of a solid or block).

Meteorites contain iron and other dense materials, which means they are much heavier than a normal rock of the same size. Meteorites with a lot of iron are magnetic, so they are often attracted to magnets. However, this is not a hard and fast rule, as some rare meteorites are not magnetic.

The speed of movement of meteorites is very fast. So when colliding with the surface of a planet, it will leave fragments and traces on the surface of that planet. Scientists have found more than 1,000 samples of meteorites on Earth.
