This year's national concert "What remains forever" takes place on the occasion of the country celebrating the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day on September 2. This is also the first year that VietNamNet Newspaper is under the Ministry of Ethnicity and Religion and "What remains forever" takes place at the Hoan Kiem Theater instead of the Opera House as usual.

In order to bring a new color to the program after more than a decade of organization, this year's "Dieu con mai" has many artists participating for the first time such as: Ha An Huy, Dinh Trang, Bach Tra, Viet Danh, Luong Khanh Nhi, Phan Phuc. Along with that, "Dieu con mai" 2025 welcomes the return of Hong Nhung, Tung Duong and Lan Anh - familiar faces in previous "Dieu con mai" programs but absent in recent years.

Singer Tung Duong shared: "It's been 2 years since I've been able to return to perform the concert " What remains forever". This year is very special because our country is entering a new era - an era of growth and celebrating the 80th anniversary of National Day.

When I was able to sing on the country's great day, Independence Day September 2nd, I felt more proud than ever. Especially being able to sing at the Hoan Kiem Theater in a very familiar and meaningful concert of VietNamNet Newspaper as well as the audience nationwide.

Accepting the invitation to participate in the concert "What remains forever" is not just to sing, but also in my mind as a Vietnamese citizen who wants to contribute to the country on such a special occasion. I sing with the heart of a patriot, always wanting to build the country, wanting the country to be more prosperous and rich.

As has become customary, the national concert "What remains forever" will open with the "National Anthem" by musician Van Cao at exactly 2:00 p.m. on September 2 when Uncle Ho read the Declaration of Independence giving birth to the Democratic Republic of Vietnam exactly 80 years ago at Ba Dinh Square.

The vocal and instrumental performances were carefully selected by musician Tran Manh Hung and VietNamNet Newspaper, with the participation of the Sun Symphony Orchestra (SSO) with many talented musicians from many countries around the world under the direction of talented French conductor Olivier Ochanine.

The audience will enjoy the soulful monochord of artist Le Giang through Motherland , the piano of artist Luong Khanh Nhi with Song Lo and travel through the musical lands from Hanoi to Saigon with: Towards Hanoi, Sending you the poem conical hat, Nha Trang in autumn, The wind blows in all directions, Saigon is so beautiful, Hue - Saigon - Hanoi...

This is also the first year that VietNamNet Newspaper is under the Ministry of Ethnic Minorities and Religions, so the program cleverly incorporates ethnic elements. In addition to the song "Dak Krong River in Spring" performed by Tung Duong, "Dieu Con Mai" also brings familiar melodies such as: "Singing in the Pac Bo Forest", "Pa Thei Mai" Cham Folk Songs, "Dan ca" and "Hue Royal Court Music"....

Music director Tran Manh Hung not only composed the score for all the works of "What remains forever" but also skillfully arranged the order of the selected works to be performed with purpose. It was a musical journey honoring the beauty of the lands that the liberation army passed through (Central Highlands, Binh Tri Thien, South Central, South, Ho Chi Minh City...).

The closing performance promises to be explosive with the heroic melody of One Round of Vietnam performed by Tung Duong and Like Having Uncle Ho on the Great Victory Day by musician Pham Tuyen with the participation of singers will bring joyful moments expressing the joy of Independence Day.

'What remains forever' spreads the message of love for the Fatherland . The National Concert "What remains forever" is like a continuous series, played as a medley to tell the story of history from the founding of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam to the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.
