The General Statistics Office delegation worked with Quang Ninh province

On the afternoon of July 11, the working delegation of the General Statistics Office, Ministry of Finance, led by Ms. Do Thi Ngoc, Deputy Director of the Department, had a working session with the Steering Committee for the 2025 General Census of Rural and Agricultural Areas in Quang Ninh Province. Working with the working delegation, on the side of Quang Ninh Province, there was Mr. Vu Van Dien, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, and leaders of a number of departments and branches.

The leaders of the General Statistics Office, Ministry of Finance, presented the decision to accept and temporarily appoint Ms. Ngo Thi Van, Head of the General Statistics Office of Quang Ninh province, to hold the position of Chief Statistics Officer, Statistics of Quang Ninh province.

The rural and agricultural census is one of the three largest statistical censuses, organized every 10 years. This is to assess the current situation, analyze changing trends, develop plans and strategies for sustainable development in rural areas and the agricultural, forestry and fishery sectors, thereby improving the living standards of rural people.

After organizing the launching ceremony of the 2025 Rural and Agricultural Census, Quang Ninh province has completed 100% of the household listing and data review volume at a total of over 1,380 villages and residential groups with over 291,000 households and 131 farms. By July 10, data collection had reached over 12% of the number of farm survey forms; nearly 17% of the number of survey forms on sample households in agriculture, forestry and fishery...

Speaking at the working session, Comrade Do Thi Ngoc, Deputy Director of the General Statistics Office, Ministry of Finance, believes that with the strong direction of Quang Ninh province, the data collection of survey forms in the 2025 Rural Agricultural Census in Quang Ninh province will be completed on schedule before July 30.

To ensure the goal of completing the collection of basic data from the survey forms before the closing date of the 2025 Rural and Agricultural Census data entry portal nationwide, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Vu Van Dien requested the Provincial Census Steering Committee and communes, wards, and special zones to urgently remove difficulties, urge, and support investigators to focus on approaching households and farms; at the same time, strengthen supervision of the data collection process and data entry on the system to ensure accuracy and compliance with procedures. This is important data for communes, wards, and Quang Ninh province to update in the Party Congress documents for the 2025 - 2030 term.

At the working session, the General Statistics Office, Ministry of Finance handed over the decision to accept and temporarily appoint Ms. Ngo Thi Van, Head of the General Statistics Office of Quang Ninh province, to hold the position of Chief Statistics Officer, Statistics of Quang Ninh province.

The Provincial Party Committee announced the decision to establish the Quang Ninh Provincial Statistics Party Committee under the Provincial Party Committee and appointed the Party Committee Executive Committee, Secretary, and Deputy Secretary of the Quang Ninh Provincial Statistics Party Committee.
